Favorite Maroon 5 Songs

Over the years I have developed quite the affection for many Maroon 5 songs, however there are several that hold a special place in my heart. Here's my top 5 songs of all time (thus far)...

She Will Be Loved

Original soft rock, jazzy sound with great love story vocals. What girl wouldn't fall in love with this song? This is a song you can listen to on a bad day, a good day, and no matter what it will make you feel better about things and feeling loved. Tempo is also a good balance so that it can hit well in almost any mood.

Whiskey

Maroon 5 makes a return to some of their original sounds (reminds me of She Will be Loved) in this ballad like song along with some additional bass and background jam sounds. My favorite drink has also been Whiskey over the years so this is almost a natural hit. The story line of wrapping a jacket around his girlfriend on a fall day brings back very familiar memories of being young and in love which is why this song is one of my favs.

Beautiful Mistakes

This song is a more pop and jam session with more bass and the version with Megan Thee Stallion adds an element of rap. Certainly a sound change from the original Maroon 5 sound minus the constant vocal sounds from Adam Levine. This one just gets me all hyped up and feeling good about making mistakes! 

Memories

Memories certainly is a reggae beat type song, but the sound about memories hits home with anyone that you has lost anyone and wants to remember the good and what you've been through. It is a tribute song that always makes my heartstrings feel the pain but the good things from those that I've lost. 

Makes Me Wonder

Gritty sounding, still has the original sound of Maroon 5 with a quick tempo, and gritty vocals from front man Adam Levine. This is certainly a song that you can't listen to and sit still. Always makes me want to get up and move no matter where I hear it. The lyrics also speak to all the times that you might have questioned yourself or those that you had relationships with. We all think about the things we've done at times and wonder.
